You can’t get this item until you complete the weapon frame mission. The Mysterious Box lets you access the Forges and complete all the related content, but when it comes to the Black Armory Key Mold, you’ll hit a dead end. Anyway, beat him, go to Ada, get Izanagi’s Burden.See, due to the relatively open nature of the game, and in order to let returning players catch up, the game lets you get the Mysterious Box from Ada-1 right from the jump, along with the weapon frame quest. Step 7: Then you’ll have to fight Siviks in the Bergusia forge, the Fallen troll from the puzzle room who kept appearing and disappearing. With heavyweight in particular it shouldn’t be too bad. Probably possible to solo, but you may just want to snag a fireteam from the Bungie app to be safe. Step 6: You’ll be asked to run a super version of the Pyramidion strike with solar singe, heavyweight and extinguish, meaning if you die you’re kicked to orbit. It’s a little easier than it used to be with the power cap raise, but still tough so you may want to run it with a fireteam. It only appears every three weeks, and this week it is live, so you want to be sure to get to this step asap. Step 5: Then you need an Ascendant Glass Shard which comes from clearing the Shattered Throne dungeon in the confluence of the Dreaming City. This will be a roadblock for some because you may have to do a lot of bounties to get a rare one. They’ll ask you to do a variety of things from elemental kills to 5-25 forge clears to a laundry list of strikes, adventures, patrols and PvP matches. Rare Ada bounties appear from completing daily or weekly bounties for her, and I lucked out as I already had one running.

Step 4: This will allow you to finally open the mystery box, but there’s still more to go as this goes from a key quest to a full exotic quest now. Kill them, beat it and a chest will appear at the end and you’ll get the key. Step 3: You have to forge the key itself in the Bergusia forge at “maximum temper.” After all these weeks I finally figured out that “maximum temper” means you’ve killed those two little floating drones on the map that gave you the other three key pieces (for this quest I am assuming you already have those), and in Bergusia they’re easy to find as they’re just flying around two pillars near the center of the map. I just did it with 5% at a time running around Earth doing public events that take 90 seconds each and spawn all the time. Strikes give you 10% completion so you can run a fast one like Lake of Shadows on repeat if you want. Step 2: You’ll then be tasked to acquire “Glimmering Amethyst, a material that will drop from public events (woo), strikes or patrol chests. Also, you can just exit and enter the room after you kill four Watchers, and they’ll respawn, meaning you can clear this step in like ten minutes.
This requires a video to show you the full process as I just can’t describe it fully here, so watch this. This will unlock the “underbelly” a few floors up, and allow you to start farming Watchers.

Starting left to right, the lever code is 1-5-3-2-4-6. The hardest part is putting in the lever code in the room under the starting bridge by yourself, as you have to do it really fast. But even if you’re not a raider, this is not as daunting as it may sound, and easy to solo. Those are found in the Leviathan Raid, of all places, and I can’t remember the last time an exotic quest had you farm materials in a raid that wasn’t a raid exotic, but here we are. Step 1: Ada will give you a key mold that requires 24 Watcher Lenses.
